Wye House Gardens
Organized by
Transition Marlborough
Transition Marlborough
Winter pruning and tree care for Marlborough Community Orchard fruit trees.
Come and share a morning of fun and learning, helping prune and give TLC to the orchard trees – vital tasks to encourage a healthy harvest and care for this wonderful community asset.
Instruction on pruning will be given by a skilled horticulturist and small groups will be guided by volunteers with experience. Maximum of 15 per session.
We’ll start at the Diamond Jubilee Plantation (DJP) on the common and then going on to Rogers Meadow if there’s time.
The work will include the pruning but also tidying around the base of the trees, removing weeds, mulching and other general maintenance as required
If you have them please bring clean and sharp secatuers, loppers and gloves.
Contact Gerald at enquiries@transitionmarlborough.org if you’d like to join us or are interested in sponsoring a tree.
