Marlborough Permaculture Group is a small friendly group of people who are interested in developing our skills and knowledge of permaculture. Our meetings are very informal and are a mix of talks by members or an external speaker, visits and practical projects which are often in one another’s gardens. We also regularly swap surplus seeds and plants.
Last year we were mostly confined to zoom meetings with members leading discussions on Permaculture beyond the Garden Gate, Wilding Yourself and the Jones Mill Wildlife Reserve, as well as an introduction to local rain gardens by their designer. For 2021 we are planning visits to a community garden and an agro-forestry project, to tour local rain gardens, a garden design project and talks on social permaculture and preserving produce.
We usually meet on the first Saturday of the month at 10 am and welcome new members. Our next meeting is on Saturday 5th June 2021 and will be a guided tour of Jones Mill Nature Reserve with the warden, and subject to any Covid-19 guidelines in place at that time. If you are interested in attending a session please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
