Permaculture – new heart of Transition Marlborough

The rules of Permaculture

New permaculture course starting in March!

It has taken the team a bit of time to get this new website started but its starting to take shape… The objective is to make the running of a website as easy as possible for the team and as connected as possible.

The 12 principles of permaculture most commonly referred to are first described by David Holmgren in his book Permaculture: Principles and Pathways Beyond Sustainability (2002). They include: Observe and Interact, Catch and Store Energy, Obtain a Yield, Apply Self Regulation and Accept Feedback, Use and Value Renewable Resources and Services, Produce No Waste, Design From Patterns to Details, Integrate Rather Than Segregate, Use Small and Slow Solutions, Use and Value Diversity, Use Edges and Value the Marginal, and Creatively Use and Respond to Change.

We are going to attempt to apply these principles to the project of our website. For example, ” Use and Value Renewable Resources and Services”, we create a post here that automatically gets posted to our facebook and twitter accounts.

So, Rich Pitts is today setting this out as the Permaculture group begin their 2019 course.
